TrustMotion is proud to announce the successful completion of EcoMobility, a European initiative funded under the Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU) in collaboration with the Horizon Europe Framework Programme, dedicated to advancing safe, sustainable, connected, and intelligent mobility solutions. Coordinated by TrustMotion, the project brought together 47 partners from across Europe over 38 months to develop and validate innovative technologies supporting the digital transformation of mobility.
Throughout the project, the consortium tackled key challenges in connected and automated driving, intelligent vehicle connectivity, smart battery management, digital twins, and multimodal transport systems. These solutions were successfully integrated and validated through a series of large-scale demonstrators, meeting the project's technical and innovation objectives.
Among the most significant results:
- Validation of all project demonstrators at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5.
- Smart Battery Management System innovations delivering up to 13% improvement in battery lifetime and a 3% increase in driving range.
- Advanced digital twin technologies enabling real-time mobility simulations and traffic management.
- Enhanced connected mobility solutions supporting safer, more efficient transportation.
- Strong exploitation, market uptake, and standardisation outcomes paving the way for future deployment across Europe.
Beyond its technical achievements, EcoMobility strengthened European competitiveness in electrified, connected, and autonomous mobility, generating substantial dissemination and exploitation results — including scientific publications, industry engagement activities, and contributions to standardisation initiatives.
